About Marnix

Marnix is a certified and accomplished laughter coach with over 5 years of experience spreading laughter, joy and connection across five continents!

He has always been intrigued by using laughter, humour and playfulness to lighten up situations. As a kid, he loved to crack jokes in class and became known as the 'funny kid'. This resulted in his first performance as a stand-up comedian at 16 years old and much time on stages afterwards in both Amsterdam and Barcelona.

Since then, Marnix has facilitated hundreds of sessions, both online and in person, across 5 continents. He has laughed with a wide range of people. From corporate employees, children, elderly, visitors at holistic festivals, and whoever showed up to his regular laughter club in each of the 5 countries that Marnix has called home the last 5 years

Then laughter yoga came on his path, and a completely new paradigm opened up for him. Instead of being the center of attention, it became a group-focused experience. And instead of making people laugh, he helped them tap into their own inner joy. After initially learning online, he completed the laughter teacher training certification in India from his laughter guru.

He loved to make people laugh who came to his shows. But the lateness of the shows and the alcohol infused athmoshphere started to rub against him. Simultaneously, he developed an interest in conscious living throughout his early twenties.
